Just to echo what's already been said...

Great weekend !

Thanks to all who arranged the venue, activities & "mobile" club shop

Good to catch up with everyone and to meet some new faces plus random folks who turned up to see our cars via so-shal-me-d-ya

Looking forwards to the next one.

Just thought I'd add some of my pics (for those of you not on Facebook) from the weekend.

I agree, other than a few teething problems, The Dragonfly is a great new venue for club meets and long may it continue! Kudos to Arran and Lauren for sourcing it!

I think EuroTec is back to its best again, freshened up with the new venue, new members and cars, as well as the DMC Elders (I include myself in that now)

I should also add thanks to Dan Stacey for replacing my angle-drive, which is working like a charm again! Also to Pete for assisting with my temperamental tail lights! Last but not least Mike K, for diagnosing my dodgy door locks and recommending the remedy - which is the D-Lock!

Roll on October-Tec!

I was wondering if for the main event in the summer whether anyone would be interested in it returning to a full two dayer again? Arriving on the Thursday leave on Sunday

Talking from the side, it surely could make it more interesting for the people who have to travel a large distance.

Sounds good, by next year hopefully we can leave the kids for two nights with the in-laws.

Venue wise are you planning to return to the same place?, I haven't been for many years so I don't know what the other hotel was like, and whilst I know the food wasn't a very slick operation on this occasion, in their favor they did have a sizable car-park, with industrial estate neighbours meaning there weren't any issues with noise and pretty good access to main roads etc...

I think if it were sold to the venue in the right way we could be quite a good customer, especially as following this event the venue now realise that the bar bills far exceed the room bill!

That's probably the plan James, if they'll have us. The last place wasn't as nice in room quality (a lot worse), plus the food was pretty bad, breakfast terrible.

Plural? Only issue I was aware of was some food choice issues on the 2nd night. I was fine just ordered off the menu.
I'll mention it to them, if there's anything else I need to be aware of it so I can bring it up.

Food-wise, it took me 3 months to convince them to let us eat there at all, as for the selection the problem was/is there is no one in charge there, so I'll do my best. They may revert back to telling us to eat elsewhere again. Friday night was fine wasn't it?

Problem is we are running out of reasonably priced options, within emergency-parts-run driving distance
I'd say in literally every aspect bar none, it was better than The Ffolkes.

I had a great time and thought the venue was really good. OK so the evening food wasn't great but it filled me up and I enjoyed the company so much that the food didn't matter. I'm all in favour of going back there again and I'll keep my fingers crossed for an October meet.

Sadly i don't think i'll ever be able to do longer than the Saturday and Sunday though (family duties always require my presence elsewhere).

Thank you so much once again to Arran for organising it. I really appreciate all the work you do for us.
