What ferry company goes Holyhead to Belfast? - can't find that one. Liverpool to Belfast - yes but 12 hours! - makes a DeLorean look fast! - the entire journey from Milton Keynes/Cambridge would be quicker (via Holyhead/Stranraer) that that ferry alone. It's not like we can exactly get bladdered on the ferry either?! (especially on the way back)

I can mention the Stranraer route to my contact with Stena line. The Liverpool to Belfast ferry operates 2 8 hour crossings. 22:00 arriving 06:00 and 10:00 arriving 18:00

Driving a Delorean to yours is far enough, let alone to Ireland, couldn't we all chip in and hire a car transporter that will meet us there and we all get the plane???

A friend of mine races Lotus's around Europe at weekends. They have a transporter who drives their cars from one destination to the next while they work all week then fly out for the weekend.

Actually not a bad idea! Maybe we could take out AA cover with Matt's address and RAC cover with our own. Do the RPM relay and say "take it home" (to Matt's) on the way there, then same on the way back. Probably be cheaper too! £20 on Ryanair

As far as I know there's no ferry from Holyhead to Belfast.

Aye, the Liverpool Belfast ferry is nearly a cruise but would mean less miles driving.

Mad idea ..but what about a car transporter?? [edit: just see this idea has been suggested...great mind think alike]

how many cars does a transporter hold?? say for arguments sake 12, multiply that by everybodys fuel, say £150 = £1800, could we a get a return trip on a car transporter for that money??? then we a get an Air fungus flight as suggested by Arran, Bob's your uncle and Fanny's your aunt!!! who likes this idea???

I'll speak to the guy who brought my cars from Liverpool to Belfast. If I remember right it was £120 per car but a full load might be cheaper
