There is an american diner in Colchester that somtimes has car/bike meets. Could be a possible venue?

They do a number of classic car meets at that Bungalow Diner, in fact they used to have an american classic car meet on the 1st Thursday of every month which was very well attended lots of people in period dress etc...

If we have a number of D's going it's worth letting them know as I'm sure they would want to publicise it on their FB page etc... it's only a couple of hundred metres of the A12 so very easy to get to.

I work most Saturdays till 6pm so not sure what the timings are but I would be up for coming to that.

Alternatively I have a couple of contacts (in/around Colchester) at local pubs with large car park/beer gardens if that was more suitable.

Any week night after work is also fine for me. We tend to be busy weekends with one thing and another so weekday evening would be best

Don't worry about quality. I did my first show at the weekend and do you know what fascinated and shocked me most was the stories about Delorean I got from the members of the public.

One chap was approached by Delorean to become a seller in the uk and setup a showroom which was interesting.

One chap was a Lotus test driver and was given a Delorean way back when and asked to put 10k on it and then fill in a form on his thoughts. I got the feeling he wasn't impressed with it but it was nice having a chat with him.

A couple from abroad who lived in Dubai took time out to say they love classic cars but that also that now people really appreciate authentic classics. They said people really enjoy seeing (she used the example of my warped windscreen edge on the inside) things like this. A lot of people prefer seeing the defects. Lots of Binnacles/dashes crack in hot places.....

That and the fact the Delorean was the star (shocked me as I was lined up next to 4 GT40's)

There is only one thing in life worse than not owning a DeLorean.
Owning one which is not running...
