Any interest in Xenons/HIDs?

Postby prabmire » Tue Dec 07, 2010 1:17 pm

As above really, i understand deloreans use a modified h4 connector for headlights to be road legal in the UK, if theres any interest in a hid conversion kit i could do a good group buy price or sell them at a pretty good price on their own, i also sell non delorean specific kits ofcourse for any car

Brighter lights is always better of course, but we might need a little more info on this.

Is the power draw higher? My melted fusebox is just down to using the lights, so wouldn't want more going through the fusebox!

Rather stange, coming in shouting about HID's and not responding to any info request...

Had to change the headlight on my 03 Laguna recently (ooops), and I bought a pair of replacements off ebay, the new pair being xenon headlights-they were a straightforward change even the wiring to the xenon dipped beam was the same (xenons came with some of the dead cars wiring) and only the headlamp load dipping motor wiring plugs needed to be swapped over. There is some sort of converter pack under the headlamp unit held by 4 screws. Looks like this type of fitment may be a good way of fitting a DMC with an upgrade-I put my Gunsons meter on the battery whilst the headlights were on and there was no real difference in battery drain from xenon or halogen-all thats needed now may be a halogen to xenon converter fitting. Hmmmmmm any thoughts? 8-)
