Suggestions for new parts to stock here

Postby arranj » Mon May 18, 2015 2:05 pm

Looking for ideas about what to add to our growing parts store - Ed is coming over next month and will bring anything mentioned here for us to stock as well as replenishing our "out of stock"s. No commitment - just list it and it will (probably) appear in the shop in a month.

Not necessarily anything you need, maybe just list the parts you've had to buy (overseas) in recent years.

Likewise if you do want to save a few quid on shipping, let me or Ed know and he'll bring it over to the event in Norfolk.

I have to be careful how I word this; can you ask his exultantly Mr Wynn and his Loyal Aide De Camp and First Mate Mr Espey if we can have a stock engine and transmission, just for the stores

Hi Arran,

My thoughts, re things I have had to get

a clutch?? (I got a 10-spline from dave, but not that easy to find now...) Limited market tho, I know.

CV joints (& boots) (I bought from prolinx)

x-gate cable? (tho not exactly a rapidly wearing part)

I also bought a rad, fans & cowling, but I guess you have these already.

Kevin at GTO said Part no. 103049 LIP SEAL for the manual box gearchange selector shaft was unavailable, but Ed has them. So maybe good to have a couple?

Ditto suspension bushes?

Do you sell :spax: They seem popular for the DeLorean

AC condernser & lines (next on my list)

wheel nuts?

Yep, mine needed a bit of "surgery" to get it off.

Not a cheap part. I found out after I mashed it! Scotsman won in the end tho (fewer bolts, new rivnuts, penny washers, copper grease!)

You mean a 10 spline clutch? Is that even available from Ed?
suspension bushes - we normally stock them, should have them back anyway (he was out last time)
AC condenser - we have 3: http://www.deloreanclub.uk/air-conditio ... enser.html
Which lines? The massive ones? and this one too? http://www.delorean.eu/catalog/product_ ... _id=113034

Nuts - yes a big seller! Will get more this time: http://www.deloreanclub.uk/wheel-lug-nu ... of-16.html

Front end recall kits - we've stocked them before, he was out last time, will get more anyway.

Torsion bar - I will ask yes :)

Yeah, it was just a thought that I know mine are pretty gash but to be honest I havent investigated, and would look at how much it was getting approriate hoses made up first.
