As a side project I am designing an original, BTTF-inspired but quite different from the film car prop set. There is no question of 'screen accuracy', much of the detailing will be completely different.

Chris N has devised an impossibly cunning mounting scheme for this that (a) requires no new holes and (b) can be fitted and removed in under half an hour. As such this isn't a permenant conversion, it's something that could be added to the car for sci-fi conventions etc. Don't really have an ETA for this, probably some time after the actual car is done.

That will please our Darren-OEM-C and sounds like an interesting project there!

Ha ha cheeky, I nearly spat me tea out reading that....

Although it goes against my Yorkshire DNA, yes I would buy them (and not from Poundland either :shock: )

Went over to the netherlands to see Ed Uding at DMC Europe, dropped off the engine from 12306 for twin-turbo rebuild, also picked up some new rear glass. He has a nice setup there;

Ed was great, gave me a piece of his mind on the PRV-6, turbos, supercharging, all the DeLorean vendors and what he thinks of them etc. Had a look at some parts he'll be using, the forged low-compression pistons, very short exhaust system etc. He had a car in there with his power steering fitted, which is pretty neat, although sadly it wasn't in a state that I could drive it.

Where's that picture of Tony holding the original of that intake - the very one this one was moulded off in fact!

Chrome-effect powder coating. According to Ed it's more durable than actual chrome, at least for enclosed engine compartments.
