It's on the list!
How do you mean 'all over'? There's only one! (visible)
My AC lights only come on with the headlights on, and not just with the keys. All the wiring is as it it supposed to be, so not like Bitsyncmaster said with a jumper. The resistor and relay were all in place. Lights were good.
I decided to investigate.
As it turns out, there was an 87B relay in the socket for the A/C illumination panel, and there was a 87A relay in the Mail Fuel socket. To clarify: a 87A relay is a relay that switches either one pin or the other, while a 87B relay is used to switch two pins at the same time.
That main fuel relay should drive the frequency valve, but as I dont have one it had no negative effect. However, the use of the 87B relay in the A/C illumination panel had a bad habit of shorting the lights thereby NOT lighting up with the key, and with reduced brightness with the headlamps on.
Let me summarize: the a/c panel only lit up partial because of the resistor never had it's full brightness.
The fact of the matter is that my an Elglow dash was connected to these lamps, and that I was never satisfied about because of the lack of brightness. Now I know why.
Thanks to the PO for swapping those relays!
