Tried that ab. But yes I need help. The metering head is totally off as Jason told me when I got it from him.

Is there a closed point to start off from? I suppose fully to the right would be minimal?

Once I get it rolling I'll get it to a Bosch service station for a professional tuning

To clarify, this test is to pull the injectors from the holes in the cylinder head and place these in jars, bypass the fuel pump relay so the fuel pump runs all the time and then press down on the circular metering flap and check if fuel comes out of the injectors. Fuel should come out of you press the flap down by about 5mm. This proves that the metering head is working and that there is even fuel flow at each injector (tolerance is 5-10% by volume).

Unless the specialist FULLY understands ke jetronic and has a fuel pressure gauge, they will mess it up and you will waste money. ...

You could just pull one injector first and try it, and if theres no pressure on the flap at all or you get no fuel out, then investigate further before pulling all 6. This is what I did and it turned out the plunger inside the metering head was stuck. After a clean out I put it back together and tried it again and I got fuel out of the injector. I 'assumed' if it was coming out of one it would be coming out of all 6 so tried the engine again and sure enough it ran fine and has ever since.

Thank Dan. I was going to test one when I received ab's advice too late. The Allen bolt to far right turned fell inside and I am having a great time trying to screw it back on:(

Btw you think the ecu not getting any feedback from the oxygen sensor kills the fuel? Although I had fuel literally tripping out my exhaust manifold:p

if the oxygen sensor is disconnected, the ecu will fall back in a default mode, running 50/50. My car does this.

If your running volvo gear then you dont need the oxygen sensor or the fuel computer. You can get rid of it all :D
