PO drama. has something to do with the crappy remote that was installed. i'm thinking of rewiring it some day.

Anyway, the old motor is out, the new one is in. Not too happy about the connector though. I'll need to find something that'll fire the A1 female plug.

So are you sure its the wiring? Mine had the motor fried on one end and the spiral broken on the other. Married the two good parts and now have one fully operation and one missing:(

i am sure it is the motor. its replaced now and it is much better. PO already swapped out the lock solenoids for actuators (thanks for that) but in doing so some wires have been spliced. It is all working now, but somehow i feel there are too many connectors and splices that shouldn't be there.

thank the heavens no scotch locks were used.

since i'm on the topic of window motors, i have a question about the connectors. They are very nice, black connectors. But they do not match my wiring loom which consists of 2 female spade terminals. I asked my question at A1 and this was their response:

If the kit came from us it should have Bosch motors. Sorry, I do not know the name of the connectors. They come from Europe.

Which is of course very helpful indeed.

Then I put my Q on dmctalk. And this was the only response:
Cut and re terminate

Back to square one. I have two options.

- one, i can search and search for the matching connectors or
- option two, just cut them off and crimp new matching connectors.

(sorry, i have no picture at the moment)

Make new connectors soldering the wire endings:) Better contact and I don't suppose there will be anybody in the future wanting to change that to stock option!

....And that is why it helps to stock up on parts! Even if it sits there for 4 years.

3 pairs of nice 2-pin connectors with pins:
