One window regulator done. Smooth as a polished bowling lane.

Perhaps you missed the fact that I replaced the entire window regulator assembly? I also wrote I found a set of connectors in my cabinet, I stripped and recrimped the connector from the motor.

today was moderately successful.

after the initial joy of finishing up the drivers door i started on the passenger side. All went well until i had to assemble everything inside the door. Nothing bad happened, but it took me surprisingly much effort to get it together. Anyway job done, window down window up, down, clack, window off track. crap. now i have to get the drop window all disconnect again, bloody annoying. perhaps tomorrow will be better.

Took me 6 hours to swap door shells. Fortunately no injuries ad it is one of the common issues working inside those door wells :hand:

That is 6 hours without putting on the fixed glass. Still need a rubber fin

So why did the window pop out? Did it goo to low into the door or were your guides not aligned correctly? Just asking in case I should expecting a common issue.

my guess : the bolted anchor point halfway the runner of the regulator is not sitting where it is supposed to be sitting, therefore it pulls the windows sideways (towards the front) when it shouldn't. tomorrow i'm loosening those bolts that fix the motor and try running it again. i will then lower the window and tighten the bolts at that position. because when the window moves upwards, the runner will get more room to play so to speak. :geek:
