Oh yes! No problem there. This is one loud mother. There is a volume switch on the speaker and I have set it to 1/2. Still too loud even with the engine revving. And since revving backwards is never a good idea --

Finally ready for MOT, but: The shop for MOT is very busy tomorrow. Appointment has been made for wednesday. :( I guess I'll just have to be patient and sit this one out.

Dont worry. I randomly removed some bulbs and as it turned out I removed the superfluous ones. This D is ready as ever.

Such a shame. I had big plans this weekend.

Since the car is now up and running and MOT-certified, appraised and re-registered, it is time to close up on this thread.

Last couple of weekends I have very much enjoyed driving the car again after so many years of neglect. The new tires, ball joint boots, door seals, and park assist all turned out to 'play nice' to me and the DeLorean did not annoy me with new problems, like i've heard so many times over the last months on several forums.

Now me and my D will go into a new period of correct upkeep and maintenance! Although the driving seasons is almost over (cats and dogs), I hope to enjoy some more days before the winter really arrives. Even then, I'll have some things on my list:

- Put in the four SPAX shocks that literally arrived a couple of minutes ago
- Put in the front sway bar tune-up kit (bushings etc)
- Fix the Airco (R413A probably)
- Fix a rough warmup
- Replace the windscreen
- Build a new replaceable back-board for some good speakers.

Thank you everybody for your mental or physical support and advice these last months. I really enjoyed every minute of it (well..)

It's what we are all here for Rob, either help with fixing the cars or use this place (especially the chat room!) for some needed DeLorean Ownership Counselling !!!!!!!!!!!!!
