Everyone talks about BHP, autos slower than manuals, dyno tests, well it's time to cut the cr*p and see on video how my car performs.
My car has an automatic transmission, free flow stainless exhaust and a couple of the Volvo engine parts (CPR, Metering head and venturi)
personaly I don't think the Volvo stuff makes any difference but here are the tests.
The rules are simple, each test is carried out in dry conditions in the same car on the same stretch of road which is straight with no noticable gradient, the speedo has been calibrated using a sat-nav and found to be acurate, the times are calculated from when the car starts to move to when the needle hits 60mph (seen in slow motion on the video footage).
Test 1 - 0-60 Selector in D with pedal pushed to the floor
Test 2 - 0-60 Selector used to maually select gears to make better use of the hight 1st and 2nd gear ratios
(to follow)
Any responces to these vidoes by DMC owners claiming their cars do 0-60 in X&Y because a dyno test and their maths degree says so are not of intersted.
