Alright folks

Been a bit of a stranger on here recently. Basically I lost motivation to work on the car last September and it has sat in the garage since.

A bit of a call to arms though, if anyone is interested or knows of anyone who is interested in helping get this car through MOT, please PM me.

I don't expect it to be done for free and am willing to pay for the services of whoever is interested. For the guys on the mainland, I can look at sorting flights and accomodation for one or 2 to blitz it for a weekend.

Once that is done I am happy to resume the cosmetic resotations.

Brief list of what I remember as being required;
- Headlights aligned
- Auto box slippage
- Engine set up- timing, carb synchronisation
- Tidy up of rushed piping/wiring
- Starter motor
- Drivers door torsion and bracket for trim missing
- Door latch set up as won't open from outside if previously opened from inside.

Hi Matt, I know how you feel I lost my mojo this last year, work and all that.

Anyway with the autobox, did you fit a new auto filter in (as the other one was blocked)?

Run the engine till it is warm (so it fills the torque converter).
Stop the engine.
Drain all the oil out and then pour in 4.5 litres of auto transmission fluid.
(Ignore the original dipstick marks as a recall was made on the dipsticks.)

Take the car for a drive and see if it cures the slippage.
If it works, make a new mark on the dipstick as a reference point.
