VIN #1764 Black Manual - The Play.com Car!

Postby arranj » Mon Jul 06, 2009 6:37 pm

Well, you'll have to forgive me. I'm a little bit rubbish with the history of my car, so I'm hoping some of you can shed some light on it 8-)

I bought this car in June 2005 from a car dealer near Hungerford. It was listed on eBay and Auto Trader.

and the listing on eBay:

There was a slight issue with the passenger door - the stud thing that attaches to the gas strut had snapped off.

Anyway... it went to Martin fairly soon after.

Stainless steel exhaust
Remote launchers
Refurbished wheels (grey)
Volvo stuff
Stereo
Hoses and lines
Fibreglass issue (see above!)
etc.

Then a couple of years later went to Chris N to get rid of that dent in the drivers door (not me - honest!), and some other stuff.

This is it on its way with one of Chris's "regulars"...

BUT......

It hasn't always looked like this......

Owned for some time by the late chairman of some DeLorean club in New Jersey.....?, then shipped to The Netherlands by Dennis van Laerhoven, with a numberplate of NH-GD-88. After 8 years he sold it via "a German website" to some people in Jersey, where this happened.........  :

All I know after that is, that there was a competition by Play.com as part of a BTTF promotion, and someone called Barry Condoluci won it, then pranged it on his only drive in it! The BTTF stuff was removed and sold to "Paul Feagan", and "Robert McAdam" was the last owner before me - he was a DOC member, from the letters I have with the car.

A Van wrote:if anyone ever has any dealings with Paul Feagan who used to make some BTTF kit...ask him about Martin Fillery........
So if Paul Feagan was a "pro" BTTF converter... - what on earth would he want with this junk that was on here?! - presumeably to destroy it?! :?
