..or the MOT tester assumed that the orange running lights are actually indicators!
Just run a wire (of suitable rating) from the front indicator to the side so they flash together in unison....

Ball joints as above.
Windscreen washer spray is a bit naff at best but clean it out and check the spray pattern.

Adjust the back brakes :)
They are the same as a jaguar and the setting applies here. I don't know why people say they are bad as they are so easy to set up for a great handbrake (, as long as the cable doesn't fall off the lever!)

Offside fog missing..... does that mean there is a nearside fog that works? If so just move it to the other side as you only need one.

Hazzards not working.... assuming they worked before you took it for the mot and something has gone wrong? If so its probably just a fuse or the flasher relay packed up.

I bought a pair of the new batch that Ed made and these came powdercoated and with ball joints in place.

Yes you're right we have one working and the tester was unaware that it only needs one so that ones struck off.

Yes they were working as well so getting this checked.

Yeah will check this before buying a new washer motor cheers.

Fingers crossed we can get this sorted and through by the weekend as it would be nice to get to drive it a couple of times before tucking it away for winter!

Thanks! :)

Well it finally happened! Yesterday Vin 3928 LDA 38W passed it's MOT since 2001 was it J? :D
Feels like an age getting it ready but finally took it out yesterday and a short trip today. I want to start off on a few short journeys to ease it in.
Really feels like I am a DeLorean owner now that it can actually be driven!

Thanks so much for everyone's help on here getting it to this point and I'm quite aware that lots of bits still need doing to get it how I want along with the constant maintenance. Regardless very pleased that it's finally road legal again!

Cheers

Ollie

Ollie, you've done an amazing job, I'm glad the old girl went to a good home, and I'm so glad you've got her back on the road. The last time the car was road legal, answering your question I believe was 2001, maybe 2002, not quite sure. I well tell you something though about that car, I drove that car to Cornwall a couple of times, Belfast for the 2001 Eurofest, plus various car shows up and around the country, and not once did she let me down, not like C@*t car I own now!!! I would have liked to have kept her, but time was my enemy, not enough hours in the day. Like I said before, I'm glad she has gone to a good home, I hope you enjoy her, and it will be lovely to see her in all her glory in the flesh again some time, Good work Ollie!!!

Thanks all :) very proud of her! Couldn't have done without my mate Will. He's one hell of a mechanic.

Thanks J she will definitely have a good home. I will bring her across to see you and TT when I get her rebrushed. Going to save up for that over the next couple months. It's taken enough of my money for now
