Due to a flood of PMs on the subject, have decided not to proceed with delorean.co.uk!

That said, still interested in a turbo engine if anyone can recommend a good quality supplier.

And can you check the VIN again. I don't think 12306 is a valid number :?

Haven't actually seen the plate - number came from Chris N - but sounded reasonable to me since the original Wooler Hodec RHD cars were in the 121XX range.

12306 was a number I came up with, Chris ask me to make some vin plates up for when we were making up cars from bits of old crap we found in the back of his workshop. I know we've had this conversation in the past, before anybody say's it's 'Ringing', I know, do I look as if I care???

Don't see how you can call that ringing, you're not trying to hide anything, just jumping through DVLA hoops.

Hi Starglider, take delorean12uk post with a big pinch of salt!

Have you upgraded the radiator?

I saw various people complaining how much current the OEM fans draw so replaced those with modern ones, not aware of any issues with the radiator core itself?

I would change the radiator for a new modern one 3 row, in fact that would be one of the top things in my list.
The cooling system in a DeLorean is on the edge with all stock gear IMHO.
Have you got new TABS going in? And refurbed steering rack?
What balljoints have you got

Change the coolant bottle if it's original and you will need a rebuilt or new central locking module, the stock ones draw too much current.
Also door lock solenoids may need rewinding, and don't forget the window motors, If still original they will fail makes sense to fit new "while your in there"

If you want to go the turbo route, I'd talk very nicely indeed to Tony here, or start a conversation with Josh Bengston: http://www.deloreanindustries.com/

Still Al's comment is fair - you don't really want to be running a one of a kind engine unless you built it yourself (like Nico) or are very close to the builder/supplier (difficult if it's stateside).
