Well since my car came of the road in late 2015 followed by me stripping the engine down to its component parts, not a lot happened with it as life got in the way; lots of travel for work, and a house move etc etc. The new house has a double garage and workshop ready for the D work to commence when time allowed. Anyway with the Hamburg trip announced I really wanted to get the up and running again. My engine is still in bits, and it wasn't looking like I'd have enough time to rebuild it, but then a fellow club member happened to have a 2.7 engine out of a Renault going spare and for sale. So this seemed like a good solution to get the car back together again and take my time rebuilding my 2.8 engine for a swap next winter perhaps. I could also use it to test out my collection of Volvo ignition/fuelling gear.
So the car was finally got out of storage, dusted off and moved over to my house

Gearbox refitted. This was done twice as it was discovered that the person who rebuilt the box used a 2nd hand gasket, so it came back out and new gasket and oil seals from Delorean Go were installed, then the gearbox re-fitted.

I have also now replaced the fuel accumulator and now it holds pressure and starts from hot which it never did before.
Now the next challenge is the Hamburg trip...
