Yes, but they are pretty crapy lights, not very well made at all, and thats saying something when working on a delorean!! and don't actually fit the delorean properly either, I had to put wooden spacers behind them which screwed to the standard mounting holes, then self tappers through the lada lights into the wood  Only on there for the MOT though.

Ha! Thanks Dan. My last mot got a pass, but he didn't like the yellow running lights. We looked at some rhd photos online, and he suggested I fit them for the next one...

Which wont be this year!

Cheers for now, keep skinning those knuckles,
A

Does that mean you'd have to stick them on for each and every MOT? Bit of a hassle?

And I'm assuming the lights we're talking about here are the indicators, not the main headlights? Pretty sure mine is still running the originals?

Yeah should put them on for each mot, but literally a 5 minute job which can be done at the same time as fitting legal numberplates ;) The stock headlights are also flat beam as well so can drive on either side of the road without pissing off oncoming vehicles as I had driving in europe with my old car and getting flashed by people because the beam kicked up to the left.

I thought your headlights had been changed gez for ones with a sidelight bulb built into them, ie hellas or valeos?

Yeah my headlights are hellas or valeos (can't remember which), but indicators I think are stock. I piss people off a treat at night in mine, but that's only because the vertical adjustment is miles out on the dipped beams meaning they point straight into oncoming traffic's eyes. Not ideal for me either because they don't illuminate the road at all, just the hedges at the sides! Needless to say this is on the list to sort on the other side of the frame off.

So Dan if I understand it right, you can change either the main headlights or the indicators to get through the MOT? And you're just changing the indicators?

Gez, maybe you didn't realise, but the indicators on the front of a standard delorean are also the side lights. They have twin filament bulbs in, so are a dim amber for sidelights then get brighter for indicators. US cars are still the same today, my mustang was the same. The problem is the UK want white sidelights, not amber, so fitting the Lada lights separates out the light to a dim white for the sidelight and a normal amber indicator.

Of course the other way is to disconnect one of the wires from the standard light so it only works as an indicator, and feeding this to a headlight that has a sidelight built in, such as the hella and valleo units.
