Looks great. Would you be able to get those reinforcement plates made up again? Wouldnt mind buying a set for mine if possible.

I also fitted that DPNW arb kit over the weekend. What a difference! The standard bushings just arent up to the job at all.

Yeah, those reinforcement plates look very nice! I need to reinforce mine shortly if I want to get the car back together for the summer but I'm not great at welding :(

Only one way to get better, matey!

Oh, Yeah nice work. I've heard about the famous Delorean weak suspension, but is it a case of slight bending/buckling or have there ever been total collapses?

I made the plates myself out of some spare sheet. We would need to find someone who could get a load lazer cut really...

I also made the retaining rings but have the dimensions for these so we could get them made up too and sell them with our balljoints?

Yeah, I know I know :) It's hard to find time to practise more when every day I'm working on the car something else goes wrong :violin: Not to mention I'm massively afraid of cocking it up and ruining the LCAs!

I'd be in for a couple of sets if you do get them made up

Only things suspension wise that tend to totally collapse are the old DMCH ball joints and TABs once they're old and rusted.

As far as the 'weak suspension' goes it's usually a reference to the amount of flex you get forwards/backwards out of the LCAs due to them not being triangulated onto the chassis. There's a video kicking around somewhere online where you can see the amount they move around under heavy braking / over bumps. Not to mention one shot in BTTF where the D skids to a halt and the front wheel almost ends up rammed into the back of the wheel arch.
