Further Update on 3283.

All the painting is done and its time to start bolting it back together. First job tonight will be to replace the transmission drive coupling seals and auto box sump gasket.

it's good to see members restoration pictures, mind you, it wouldn't be worth it if it was a manual!!!

We used POR 15, go's on really well and seems very thin but after two or three coats it looks like it been powder coated. WARNING Don't get it on your skin as it's near impossible to get of.

Another Update on Vin 3283

We will soon have it back on its wheels. We finished assembling the brakes (apart for the hand brake) and bled them today. So underneath we have still to fit the fuel tank, radiator, coolant pipes and drive shafts

Our latest update on VIN 3283
All the cooling pipes have been cleaned up and installed back on the car along with a complete set of silicone cooling hoses. We have also fitted a new radiator and brackets along with new front valence mounting brackets.

The fuel tank has been cleaned out and we have fitted a new fuel pump, pick up hose, filter, boot and cover.
The fuel tank has been refitted to the car along with a new stainless steel closing plate

The relay and fuse compartment was a real mess so we have stripped it out and cleaned it, replaced the faulty relays, repaired the wiring, removed the scotchlocks and refitted it all back together

In sorting out the electrics we found that the PO had fitted this device discreetly under the ashtray

We googled it and found that it is an early speed radar detection device!

We have started to rebuild the VOD with overhauled/new components as required including the water pump which we have overhauled.
