Well this wasn't quite the next day but I thought I should upload something that is worth uploading, anyway :D
I've been relatively busy with the lady:

The engine needed a good going over and as it was in pieces I thought lets make it look like this!

Took a life age but totally worth it!

Oooo and the pistons for those you who like seeing my lady's bits ;)

Before and after

Thennnn I removed the gearbox  and wiring etc.

It really was quite a mission removing the linkages, nearly being crushed by the car etc. haha. And as you can see it was blooming filthy! Annoyingly I forgot go get a photo of it al thoroughly cleaned before I did this

Allllll, and amazingly minor, rust spots grinded away and treated. Then a lick of stone chip as an undercoat (use as an undercoat is fine)
I was originally only going to redo the minor rust spots but hell, I thought, lets make this look good!
So then came the top coat!

Yummy! 2nd coat coming soon as it's a bit patchy in person.

That's it for things I've done. But as of yesterday, the March meet which I, very annoyingly, missed because I was ill!
My brother took my engine parts for our kind Tony to cast his trained eye over. And it's good news they're all good, so much more to be getting on with now!

Its been longer than I thought since I've updated my progress!
Next thing to was to get the whole car up in the air so that I could access everything. And with no lovely car lift, that's always a challenge, but luckily it went spiffingly!

With her up in the air the next stage was removing........everything. :o

Fuel tank was first in line

But no sense worrying about this now, that comes later  so, onwards!

Tank. Out.

Later will come sort rust treatment, stone chip, weld a new plate, paint and fill, to make it look nice :)

Now for the suspension, lets start with the front

WP_20160425_001.jpg (434.77 KiB) Viewed 3932 times

The front springs were actually both snapped and were just simply clamped together to make them function. But new springs were already on the agenda, so no worries there

This entire process is obviously X2, the other side.
So with that all done it was time to do the rear suspension

And again everything done the same on the other side

Then I thought it was time to make some bits look good!
