PM me your address and I'll send you a non-OEM rubber seal for the oil filler cap, free of charge because they're cheap and it's Christmas!

Thank you for the offer! I have a few boxes with o rings but nothing this big.
Pm sent.

Nothing in the inbox here...maybe you sent your address to somebody else. Santa can't deliver without knowing where he's going :-)

FWIW I haven't heard of anybody rebuilding the water pump as a paid-for service. I'd guess the hours of labour would make it cheaper just to buy a replacement.

PM should have worked the second time.
Think I am going for a volvo pump with the bolt on pulley. It is the cheapest option without the risk breaking something trying to press on a pulley.
This is for a volvo 264. The volvo part nr is 1218158.
Two vendors in Holland sell this pump.
One has the brand Aquaplus for 54€.
The other one has the brand Saleri sil type PA 368 for 88€.
Found a guy that is breaking down a volvo 264 for parts, I can buy the pulley from him. Just need to cheak the diameter from the pulley. If this does not work out I just order one from the club/Bandit.

Got the T panel finaly removed. It was glued front to back. Can start with drilling the holes in the roof to put in the extra bolts to keep the roof down. Hope my brother has time to help me undo the torsion bars. Also am going to replace the door strut ball mounting plate. Got the rear crank pulley removed without to much drama. The air tool did the job on the nut and i could remove the pulley by hand . New clutch slave is in place.

Have removed the door strut ball mount today. The plate has bended, what a poor design.
Also drilled 4 holes in the roof and got the bolts in. The left side came down a few mm after bolting it down.Hope the rear hinge will not touch the torsionbar anymore. Replaced the bearings in the airco idler pulley's , the old ones were very bad. Painted the bracket that holds the balast resistor in the engine bay and rerouted some wires. Looks so much better now and replaced bolts and nuts with stainless ones.

Got my new pulley this week from Bandit. It fits the new gates waterpump perfect. Looks good too!
Fitted new vacuum hoses from the club and replaced ignition parts. I wanted to reroute the wires going to alternator and starter so they be out of site. That was not easy because they have been in the same position for 35 years. Gave up on it because I was affraid the cable insulation would get damaged.
Have the batery charger on, hope it will start tomorow.

Today I put a new window regulator and motor in the driverside door. It was not that difficult.
Tomorrow have to try and get the adjustment better, played with the adjusment on the window rails but still not good.
Found the build date on the door : 27-10-1981
