Had a lot of time to work on the D this week. Got started on the electrics for the headlight and made a side front indicater out of the running light. I use Hella units with build in parking lights. Took them out of my 82 chevy blazer, that I am not using at the moment due to changed laws overhere in the Netherlands. I am improving my skills, so no scotch locks were used! The inner sealed beams will go back in, did read on the Dutch Delorean forum that it is legal in NL.
When I got the car high beam did not work, first I think it was the relay, but it turned out that one of the spades was pushed down under the relay. Also found out why only one fan was running, one inline fuse in the fan fail department was corroded.
Got the rear springs and shocks removed and pushed the bushes out and ordered some new ones in the UK.
Took the trailing arm TAB's out, they looked very good and straight, but are only 10.9. So I went to our local farm tractor dealer and picked up 12.9 quality bolts. They were only 2,8 euro a piece.
When I was under the car also made a exta ground cable from the tab - frame ground bolt to the gearbox. No need to order that in the USA, made it myself.

Keep up the good work, you've made me a happy man knowing that you do not use those horrible scotch locks :D

Parts from Delorean Cluk UK arrived this week! Got everything instaled. The stainles brake hoses look awsome, but i was a bit dissapointed that the nut that is fixed to the brake hose is to small for the part that holds it on the car. Had to hold it with a pair of plyers to keep it from turning... Got the steering colums bushing in, but did not cut it in the end, just took the shaft with the U joints out and greased and painted those.
The PO told me the craig radio was not working and the valves that control the doors for the ventilation does not work. You could here a noise when engine was running behind the mode switch, vacuun leak.
Turned out the radio just had a bad conection and the part that holds all the vacuum hoses behind the mode switch had just fallen of ! So pushed that back on but i need to find a way so it stays on, it comes of real easy.
The part that controles the midle vents was broken. I glued it, not sure if it wil hold.
The radio could use some new speakers, but for now I will leave it alone.
Got the window switches out of the console and gave everything a good cleaning.

Took the fuel pump out because I wanted to change the two hoses. It looked terible inside the boot.
When I started cleaning the pump with a wire brush one of the electric wires broke of.
The fuel tank looks clean inside. I did notice that the fuel pickup hose is very soft. I don't know how a new is supposed to be. I am thinking of putting a spring inside the pickup hose to keep it from collapsing. Is that a good idee?
Got the ac and all the vents working again, so closed the dash back up. Noticed windshield pump not working so had to open the box and snaped 3 bolts. The pump was sitting in water and it seezed. Ordered a new one from the club.
