Fettling is one word for the wretched process that's involved getting anything to fit back anywhere on a Delorean after you've taken it off :D

yep. plus when you're on your back, can't see a thing blind to the gap and clearance of the binnacle and the dash can make it very frustrating. Looks okay now though. Or about as good as I'm going to get it for an early vin interior where nothing fitted 36 years ago let alone now :D

no joy with the lamps. confident that it's an issue elsewhere. going to try and see what's going on over the weekend.

Take it the seat belt lamp needs the buzzer installed?

Success with the seatbelt lamp.

Just jumpered the yellow/purple and the black/purple at the buzzer connector and the seatbelt light comes on, then goes off when I put the seatbelt on.

The solution to the door ajar light must be obvious. It's a simple circuit and I think I'm missing it..... :violin:

Quick update. Stalled refitting the interior bits while I wait on new fastners. Started to install silicone hoses onto the car. Heater matrix hoses are the worst. right behind the a/c accumulator. Again lots of fettling to get one of them in. Also dropped a bollock on the main return engine end return. Put a straight 10cm hose in, but think it should have a bend in it. As it is there's a constriction in the hose. Think I'll be better off with a 45 in there. See next weekend if I can at least get the new rad in. Pics next week.

Think I've done a whoopsie.

Went to replace my coolant hoses in the engine bay and I believe that I need to purchase the right hand side metal coolant pipe to fit the coolant hoses I have already bought because the thing is an early vin.....

?

The hose from the tank to the current metal pipe is too short.

I always thought the two versions of that metal pipe are basically the same....
Do you mean the 90 degree hose from the coolant tank isn't big enough to reach both the tank and the metal pipe?

How is your tank mounted? Which tank is it?

Yep the 90 degree hose is a couple of inches too short. I can pull up the main pipe to where they're just touching. The header tank is a stainless one I think I got from hervey. Post pics tomorrow. Cheers.

Yes, a few pics with a tape measure too, so I can compare to various other pipes and hoses here
