Quick update.....

Had a good day at it yesterday.....
- Belts replaced,
- stainless heat shield fitted,
- new rad cap,
- headlights removed and wiring is easily repaired and there’s power getting there

Car now gets up to temp (although the gauge is not working yet, the coolant is flowing and the fans kicking in and out.
I’ve adjusted the mixture the best I can and she sounds pretty good. (Bung now installed)
Starts from cold and hot.

So it’s coming together quite quickly! Thanks to all that have advised and helped out thus far.

Here she is idling (the red hose is temporary while I build the “self burping” system)

Lol, yes. Much better than day one. I can see the light.
Having started and completed a couple of minor jobs is very satisfying (heat shield and belts)

Full day of wiring today! And she’s all lit up!! Wooo.

Nick....... it was all solder and heatshrink :)
No nasty scotchlocks went near her.

And I installed the new stainless exhaust hanger. Thanks Arran.

I admit, my Dad did the wiring though....

Nice work. I need to pull you up on one thing though, it’s fitted a stainless exhaust hanger, that’s fitted, not installed, fitted.
You’ll be telling us you went for a stroll down the sidewalk, with a whole bunch of buddies next.
