The return fork springs themselves seem to be not in great shape either. At first glance they seemed OK but closer inspection they were not.

I'm not confident they ll work as intended with those weird bends so Will replace them with new forks to be sure, another thing to add to the list lol

As an add on to that was talking to a few of the jag e type guys here, seemingly the wisdom is to replace the the hold down bolts, and return spring forks whenever your replacing the pads as they wear as a set.

Managed to get the lower rear suspension arms powdercoated and bushed up. Also made them adjustable so can change the rear camber if needed when the the time comes for the tracking and alignment to be dialled in.

Time to start putting things back on the frame for a change. Started with the accumulator and shifter mechanism and bell crank rods and then onto the hard brake lines and anything else I had ready to go back on.
Hopefully restart a bit of progress again..

When fitting the rad noticed that one of the fans wasn't quite right when compared to the other one. Sure enough drivers side fan was stiffer and didn't spin as easily and was wobbly with a bit of a squeak out of the bearing inside . The fan was hitting the cowling ever so slightly to because of that.
Motor on the way out it looks.
I'm hoping that explains why when the fans were on the air on, the drivers side was noticeably less vigorous than passenger side when feeling for the air flow.

Sourced some new motors and fitted them.
Had to change over the crimp connectors and housing which was bit of a nuisance but all good in the end

Got some heat reflective tape to try and keep the fuel tank cooler from the heat of the coolant hard lines that sit besides the tank. Don't know if it works but I thought I'll give it a try..
