While the weather was good painted up the air filter housing

The coil church window connectors were not looking the best. Tedious job but should provide a helpful voltage gain..

Interestingly In the yellow plug found an extra black wire pin connector that's wired up but not used on the female side of the loom

While trying to take the handbrake cables out of the bracket ( which are a real bugger), finally realised why my handbrake lever never felt asymmetrical when pulling or releasing it, always had to turn/twist it it a little bit while releasing it. The bracket was badly bent and was cracked on the lever support lock nut.

My puny arms never would have the strength to bend it so HE-MAN must have been yanking on it lol!
Also the bottom cable (driver side) was seized internally and would absolutely not budge so thats why my caliper was only really holding on the passenger side.. That ll have to be sorted aswell.

My starter motor was looking a bit tired despite only being 4 years old or so and was not working 100% when the car was taken off the road solenoid seemed to be sticking Intermittently iirc.
Decided to have a look inside to see and tidy it up as best as I could.
Never taken a starter apart before so was interesting to see what it was like inside..

While having a look at the starter I also had a look at my original Paris rhone starter. it had stopped working altogether and never got round to fixing it. Decided to get both refurbed at the same time..

The time for the frame off had come, had been putting it off, but following Eric s great progress on his chassis removal spurred me on .
so off it had to Come.

I used the same block and wood option for the poor man's hydraulic lift as Eric. Very Labour intensive and me feckin back is in bits! Thankfully Ian was on hand and able to help share the load..
With a 2 post lift it would be a cinch, another magic tool to add to the wish list

The body needs 30 inches to clear the chassis according to my measurements.

The air conditioning lines were a bugger to. Nearly all of them were seized. Steel lines+ aluminum connections +exposed to the elements = not good

Gave the chassis a wash down to get the excess dirt and other stuff off. The galvanising from the last time circa 2005 has held up well I think on first examination.

The metal hard lines were one of the reasons for doing the frame off. This one was pretty bad it's the hard line from the accumulator to the filter feed.
All the rest of the lines will be checked for sure!
