Thanks Darren,
yes I remember we had a conversation about the lifting system some time ago, my original idea was to lift from one position in the centre of the RSJ, using 4 straps from one chain winch,
I spoke to you about it and you suggested using 2 chain winches so it lifted straight up from both sides, I’m glad I took your advice as I think one winch on its own would have been a bit unstable, thank you for your top technical advice it worked a treat !  :D

Oh wow mec I am still trying to work out your lifting method it looks a bit sketchy but works really well so you didn’t use the normal block method very clever but again don’t look that safe....lol
Keep the pics coming. I wish I was doing mine over there it is frigging hard work trying to figure it all out by yourself.

Are you going to replace a load of parts along the way?

Hi Tys

Yes the lifting system bolts through the floor where the seat would normally bolt so it cant slip out, nope no blocks here, it was just like having a ramp, very easy to lift and very controllable, so if anything needed disconnecting or adjusting last minute it could be.
I imagine it must be hard doing a resto over your side of the pond, good on ya though, your doing a superb job !
Yep there are going to be a lot of new parts needed as its not had anything done underneath since the engine rebuild in 2011 !!
The rebuild was very long overdue to the point of being dangerous and its gona need most things changing !
I'l update with pics as much as poss :dmcdoors:
