Haha Mr T you are funny

As for removal Rissy, there should be enough movement in the brake lines for you to be able to unbolt the master cylinder off the servo and then as you say you can unbolt the whole thing bracket included from inside the tub, this is made a little easier if the seat is taken out, you still have to lay upside down in the footwell to get it out though... like this ... lol

Ha!

Very good! I hope you never assumed that position just to demonstrate for me! :o Thanks for that. I was wondering if there would be enough slack to allow for a dry disassembly like you said. I've been looking at my SERVO (hey hey Nick!) for some time and thought I really need to clean that up before it gets worse. This could be a mini project now, if I can get it out with out breaking the brake lines. I'm hoping further that I can do it WITHOUT removal of my driver's seat. Probably have to postpone the party if that is the case though.

Removing the drivers seat is the easy bit, its only 4 nuts undone from under the car and its out, takes 10 mins, as for the picture, gem just happened to take that when i was wedged in as she thought it was funny ! lol

Hi All

Its that time again !
Today was a good day in the timeline of the restoration, the chassis has come home !! for good this time, I left around 7.30am this morning to pick it up from the Galvanizes/P-coaters...

So I loaded it up, swung past Alex's to say hi on the way home and made the trip back, its now safe back in my garage, having looked at the pics tonight, i didn't realise how close the grey I have chosen was to the original colour, the only difference being its a very subtle metallic flick in it and is very slightly darker than original...

One of the best things i like is that the original moth eaten chassis number plate has survived the process and should now last forever ...

So who says you cant polish a turd !!! ;)

In the mean time since my last post before today i have done a few other jobs too, all of the powder coated parts that i pictured before has mating surfaces which cant be p coated, so i masked all these up and painted them with cold zinc galvanize spray...

I've also refurbed some other small parts, which will no doubt continue as i start putting things back together..

and I've had a clear up and arrangement of new and p-coated parts to try and get things going, I have already pressed new bushes in the rear arms and new wheel bearings are already pressed in too..
