Cheers Kev,

I did see your posts about headliner and the right colour etc. But I can’t comment as I know the DGo stuff is lighter - but it lifts the cabin beautifully!

I wouldn’t trust me with someone else’s headliner though! I’d be too afraid!!

11477 - new front speakers installed (Alpine)

Postby TristanC » Fri Nov 23, 2018 7:11 pm

So I finally got round to getting some sound in the D.
The left front had zero sound and the right rear also has no sound......
After the new fronts...... still nothing front left.....
Anyway, I’ll have to investigate that. Likely a loose connection. Especially as since I was fiddling the electric aerial has stopped working!

Anyway, I digress......

Here are the speakers I used, along with a pic of an old speaker next to the new.
The old ones have totally had it!

Just £24.99 from Halfrauds!

They look like a nice speaker. It'll be a great result if it fits first time :D

Cheers.

The metal tabs are a little far apart. But they bend out of the way.
So they’re bolted in with one nut. But as these speakers also have metal tangs (is that a word?) they help secure them into the opening.

You may need to bend the tabs up and then back out in order to get them to fit properly, I've had to do that on several sets I've fitted. Bend the tabs as per the below picture.
