I've tried the castle nut on the upper arm and it doesn't fit.
The wrench was an 19 and it looks like the castle nut is 18? (Exactly 17.5)

So, I won't be able to use it. On the other hand, I think the pin will fit under the nut?
Otherwise, I will need another upper ball like this one,

This afternoon, I disassemble the driver's side

The castle nuts you have there are factory original ones - they are UNF threads - our upper balljoints use this correct original thread.

Ed uses a metric M12 thread, but he also says you have to modify the steering knuckle...? Have you done this? It might make it difficult to use the original part afterwards if you have drilled the steering knuckle:

I forgot about that, but you're right I have done this hole a little bigger.
Thanks for reminding me.
So, I will keep his nut but drill his ball joint for the pin, it will be safer.

On the other hand, the lower was also a 19 wrench, but I don't remember if I drilled only one side or both :(

Fortunately, the UK ball joint (lower) is the same size of what I had on my arm, so it means I didn't drill the bottom hole.
Nevertheless, I think I will need to change the nut even if I use it only one time.

I'd personally put castleated nuts on secured with a hole through the ball joint and a split pin then you'll know for sure it'll be secure.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll get it back on the road soon

Unfortunately, the castle nut I bought doesn't fit Ed upper ball joint.
Do you have castle nut in the store that will fit Ed on M12 by any chance?

No - sorry, M12 isn't an original thread. But the castle nut in your first picture should be one.....?

This one.... It's an M12 thread:

I just received another castle nut I bought on eBay (19 wrench)

Unfortunately, it doesn't fit my upper ball, I think the screw isn't metric and the nut is.
So, my question is, if I buy the upper ball from the club, do you think I may be able to fit them?
Thanks again for your kind help.
