Couldn't you just use a nylock nut ?

Hi Domi,

I think I would simply use a nylock nut, without split pin. Although mine had the hole and castellated nut, but a nyloc is as good in my opinion.

There is the risk of damage to the arm when changing the ball joint (unless you do it yourself and are skilled with the press?), and if you drill the joint a bit off centre that's also not good!

They look great though.

Someone on the French forum didn't recommend to use a nylon nut, because it could go off in the future?

I dont think they would as when you but a track rod end etc for a modern car it comes with a nylock nut, castle nuts and split pins are not used anymore or very rarely, the nylon on the nut prevents it from coming undone, you could also put some thread lock on with the nylock to make double sure

Nice! Like what you did with the electric wires, I don't see them anymore. How do you run the wire, under or inside the intake manifold? Did you have to change anything to them or just only reroute?
