My camera records in AVCHD.

Another question, why do TV companies always hire equipment rather than have their own? Surely it would pay off to buy it, otherwise hire companies wouldn't make money? When I was doing a thing recently with RDF Television, they had loads of hired gear too.

Not enough windmills I thought...........sorry I'm being facetious, very very good film. It would be good if we could show it at Eurotec next year. If I was to be totally honest, I would really like to be in a film with Tony. I'm using this opppurtunity because we all have little pipe dreams, and we all have some thing in common which is the Delorean, whether you liked the car because of it's features or whether you was inspired by the film 'back to the future', and to be honest mine was the latter. Maybe we could do a flick where Tony and I use the time travelling Delorean to go back to the '70s' to one of Hugh Hefner's party's where the girls then had really hairy............ sorry, I keep thinking i'm in the over 18's bit....... not that I'm into really hairy women because it can cause hair ball's. But that is what i'd like to do if I had the opurtunity to star in a film with the club's most loved man, because I love him as well.
Changing the subject slightly, Tony and I went out last friday to an over 25's night run by a famous essex radio DJ, well it was more like over 55's, there was GILF left, right and centre, and we got chatted up by some woman who insisted about telling us about her prolapsed 'do da'.......... we did have good night though!!!

The BBC have lots of their own kit, but unless you're using it every day it generally doesn't make financial sense to have your own. Two reasons really - firstly it's really expensive (a Digibeta camera is around 40 grand), and secondly there's so many different tools for different jobs that you'll shoot on a different camera for a different job. i.e. even if you're shooting every day, you're unlikely to want the same kit. Same goes for lights too.

It's industry practice to put the hire cost of the necessary equipment in the budget and it gets paid for that way.

As for a film starring Jay and TT - surely some gay porn on the bonnet of the D would be good? Maybe my mind has got twisted after seeing Bruno the other night - I keep imagining TT in the midget's role :D
