DeLoreans wanted for major TV production, 14th December

Postby Chris Williams » Tue Oct 22, 2013 1:53 pm

This is the info copied from the DOC (UK) forum, I understand Alister has had some involvement as well however for the sake of trying to get accurate numbers I (and the production company) would appreciate it if you can try and let me know if you intend on being involved. As I mentioned on other forums all are welcome (due to lack of cars available at that time of year and the idea is to get as many UK cars involved as possible) regardless of being either in the DOC or on the DOC forum. This is the thread:
http://www.deloreans.co.uk/forum/viewto ... =47&t=4949
However to give an idea should you not wish to visit this link this is what it is all about:

We have, as per the statement below from the production company been working on a major TV programme. They have been restoring a DeLorean as part of the programme and want to get as many DeLoreans as possible to attend a get together as part of the finale. This will be around Hertford (Hetfordshire) area, unfortunatly it is on a Tuesday (17th December) I have pointed out that this will be an issue due to midweek and time of year however they will pay reasonable expences (fuel) and feed you!
EDIT: NOW 14TH DECEMBER

“The club have been supporting a new prime-time car series for a major UK Broadcaster who as part of the series are celebrating six iconic vehicles, one of them being The DeLorean. As part of a filming event, that will be the big finish of the episode, they would like to bring together as many DeLoreans as we can muster. It sounds like it would be a really interesting day. It would be on the 17th of December and in and around the Hertford area. It would be great to hear from anyone that would like to be involved.”

Any one is welcome DOC member or not, I will try and get this cross-posted on other forums as well. If you fancy a day out in leafy Hertfordshire and to see your car on TV then please get in touch with me via 'PM' or phone: 07915 673889

DeLorean's wanted for major TV production, 17th December

Thanks Chris, Yes, I sourced the car, inspected it and set up the deal for the production company to purchase it...... which took a while for reasons which will become apparent when the episode is aired.
I know Mike Ward is helping with some PR stuff in London sometime soon which sounds interesting if they can pull it off.
Problem with this date is (as we are all aware) many cars will be tucked away for the Winter, and who knows what weather we may have at that time of year,
I just wonder if they cannot get enough cars together whether we can do some kind of meet or something for the filming?

Ahhh, big Delorean cross community hug

Good to see  Even if they could record earlier, I'm banned from coming as I have lots of pointless parts attached to mine :D

Awesome! Even more time to get some of that nice salt and ice settled in to help write off someones pride and joy, and one of the amazing cars they claim to care about. Who makes these decisions?!

I'm up for it but will put it in a trailer. Still in the honeymoon period with it...
