Classic Car Rescue - 19 May 7pm, Channel 5

Postby arranj » Thu May 15, 2014 11:30 am

Mentioned on various threads, but in case it slipped the net - this is on soon - Monday 19th May at 7pm - link here: http://www.channel5.com/shows/classic-c ... ean-dmc-12

Alistair helped a bit with this one, I think we supplied some parts, can't remember, it all blurred into one with this and the Channel 4 one...!

Quote of the show: "I'd rather drive a golf cart - you'd get there faster and it would be more comfortable"

Not to mention the "galvanised steel frame"!

Well it was mildly entertaining! In a cringeworthy sort of way! Odd final price though, although perhaps relevant in America? 10 years ago?!

That's not a restoration show, it's a bloody sitcom! All that drama over a door strut? Oh, and the propped up door 'accidentally' falls, here comes Bernie, BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP

I enjoyed it they edited loads out as they phoned me asking about the fuel system...when it asked if it had been stood....they ended up replacing pretty much entire system but didn't mention that would have liked to see there chassis repair
