Convex mirrors can help a fair bit - they are available via the club parts store: http://www.deloreanclub.uk/convex-mirror-set-pair.html

Thank's Mike, I might just get myself a pair of them... Are they easy to fit?

Got caught in a cloud burst yesterday and covered the car in road muck! I Was amazed how dirty it got within a few miles of home. Washed her down when I got home and will polish tonight after work... I was told WD40 is the best applying with the grain... Are there any other proven techniques you guys use which might work better?

Yes, once you have removed the old ones just stick them on with your adhesive of choice. Wurth Bond and Seal would do the job.

WD40 can be used. But, be warned, dust will then stick to the car like sh*t to a blanket.

Personally I just use ordinary car shampoo to wash the car, and use a regular sponge for the bumpers, louvre, wheels, and black trim pieces, and a melamine pad (think jml dr power magic eraser sponge available from your local b&q/homebase etc) to wash the stainless panels washing with the direction of the grain - the pad does an excellent job of getting dirt and grime out of the grain. Dry off with a chamois leather as you would any other car.
That method has always given me good results with my car: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gs4nqj1ifipg ... H9Nra?dl=0

Agreed with Mike, decent shampoo and hot water ... Be careful with the eraser and make sure to go with the grain
Wd40 is good but gets v v dusty

Agreed. Eraser is best, but slow and you really chew through them. If you need to give it a quick spruce then WD40 is your friend.

Aldi/Lidl do them in 5-6 pack bundles. Job done.

I Use the stainless cleaner for fridges from Lakeland, as it leaves a protective "anti fingerprint" film on it.

Not very often though. ...
