Welcome mr b !

Where are you from? If you are around next thursday to sunday in the Norfolk area there is a big event going on, lots of cars to see and people to chat with about the cars before you buy one. What the pitfalls are, the enjoyments, where to get parts, insurance etc etc.

Have a look on the main website page:

Hi Brian.

My post here is still fairly up-to-date: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=1120

There are plenty of people here who have done the importing thing - this page has some useful info regarding the prices etc: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=317 - and www.ebay.com is the place to look.

Not sure on the John Geuley one - he hasn't replied to my emails either.

Hi Brian the link alister gave you is a good link and i should think that probley 50-60% of the owners on her have brought there cars off pj gradys and if they havn't i would think that gradys have worked on there cars one time or another.
When i was looking for my car we brought it from gradys and have had no problems with her to date, and that was 3 years ago (great scott has it been that long)
its just thay are good if you dont want the hassle of bringing a car over from the states yourself ," i know i didn't"
all the best and welcome to the UK delorean car club

Thanks guys for the response some very interesting information in the links youve given me. As for the spec car it would have to be manual and unsprayed, interior colour prefer grey but happy with black. Condition wise a complete car running with mot and straight bodywork is what im looking for as i like to do some work myself. As for my budget you never seem to have enough and i find it difficult to work out the values of the deloreans, as i have seen some at the 15,000 mark up to 25,000. Which is making me look more and more at the importing route yet still alittle scared to send my money of to america with out even some car keys in my hand . cheers Brian
