Hi Yes such a shame,

if i had any spare cash i would bid!.

i feel this car was destined to be mine, as i had known about it for quite a while and researched as much as i could.
had the owner said yes a few years ago it would have been, and would be immaculate by now!.

i lost a bit of interest when i found out it is not WH, however it looks like ex WH. and personally i like the WH truck lights, so if the new owner want them to go...i would pay cash for that bit!!.
since then i had bid on the prototype Auto that Sascha in the US sold, but lost that on ebay, i have looked at if the visioneering car was available (not!, owner will not sell)

and have had a sniff of a rumour of a RHD in a barn in staffordshire/worcestershire.
Chap swears blind it was a RHD delorean (not a scirroco!), and did exist, supposedly sold but never mangaged to find/see it.

i would also buy that latest P car found with UK plates, but again lack of £££.

if only i could track down Proto2 !!!!

i will be a Delorean owner again someday!

How origonal is the vin number on that car, because looking at that vin nunber plate it's been riveted with washers covering up some of the black print.

other than that what do you guys think about it for a first time Delorean project?

Bear in mind it was only the 20th or so VIN that they stuck on, so were still playing with the format! That looks genuine enough to me!

It's a nice way of making money, not so good an investment if a LHD will do - IMO. This is assuming a 10-12K selling price, putting the same into it, then selling for £30k+.

And as already been said this really needs looking at with regards to the frame , it wasnt 'all the good' even when Steve last saw it :(

Be good if someone over that way could take some pictures of the frame and the 'quality' of the conversion etc

Hi

i could never see it being worth £30k..., only a pilot or original RHD would be.

immaculate i would guess at £22-£25 tops, being a converted LHD.

and as a first project....will take a lot of time and money, to get it to acceptable. Somethings you can do yourself, but others like say a re-brush have to be done by the 'experts'.
That said i would say Chris N is very reasonable cost wise for such a specialist job.

i was told that the conversion cost £10k in 86. The original owner kept a lot of paperwork, and would be interesting to see if he still had details of the conversion and who did it.

it must rank amongst the least looked after RHD...along with the MGJ car, which is not for sale and Chris P has tried to buy it many times.

hi

Tuesday and currently £8700.

my projection on value might be about right...and i assume there will be the last minute ebay style bidding.

i offered £12k about 3 years ago, but thought it a Wooler car.

hi

i am trying to find some old info on MGJ.

it is the car that Chris P has many times tried to obtain and it has eluded him.

i think a chap bought it for his son (then very young). the son is now older, and is working abroad.

the owner/son will not sell.

there was one photo of it on the DOC site, 1/2 under a cover.

mould inside etc (possibly snails also!)

i would love this car also and Chris P told me it is one of the only Deloreans that he wants!

i did a plate check on it ages ago, i think it had had a plate change possibly from an Irish number.
maybe it came from the auction can't remember.

it also featured on the front of a DOC mag about 3 or 4 years ago.

it must be one of the only 'untouched' since 80's RHD's
