I think it's safe to say the entire block is seized... New gaskets ain't going to help here

Possibly, but it doesn't say if the original owner started it every now and then which could make all the difference.

When I was looking for a Bricklin I was offered one of two 'factory fresh' 50mile cars, the seats still had the factory wrappers on them with the manufacturers type documents never registered. The owner had bought them for his kids, both still in primary school, when the company went pop but in the end they didn't want/use them.

These cars sat for almost 35years unloved/used until they came up for sale, apparently a little plus gas style penetration oil and gentle rocking of the crank over the course of a couple of weeks released off the oil/compression rings in the bores nicely and they both purportedly run like new using no oil and producing no smoke.

In the end I didn't go for one because firstly they wanted too darn much! but also whilst the 'metal bits' where fine all the seals/gaskets/rubber components will be shot and hence the whole thing will leak like a sieve.

Given my car sat in a museum for 20years I can say for certain the metal bits could be fine its the seals that are the problem, well only if you want the transmission fluid inside the gearbox :D

Someone on the Dutch forum asked a question about his brakes. I found this VIN in his answer ...
