Well, Cheapies...

I got mine for 6K USD.
And every body knows it was a load of trash..
Even DMCFL had parted out anything worth something.

According to my spreadsheet, I have spent another 12K on it and need another 2K max to finish it.

Total: 23K... But I will have a BRAND NEW looking Delorean with almost EVERY Screw looking like it just came out of the factory
(see 5992 restoration)

Bottom LINE!

If you have the time and skills it pays off

Sorry, can't blame autocorrect because it is turned off. Mea Culpa. I'll just use Alexos or your highness for short now to avoid mistakes!

Hahaha! Plain Alex will do. Alexakos in Greek is the sweetening of alexandros. Sort of like alexlein in German or little Alex in English.

Alex is my actual name.

I'm Alex too - a fine name lol!

Would you recommend doing it the way you did? Perhaps not quite as extreme. It would be nice to spend not quite so much and then spend the rest of the cash back here bringing it up to an epic standard at a pace that suits life and finances.

It's a toss up between that way and getting one that is mint and someone has already finished, for the cost of but perhaps not up to the standard of what we would do ourselves.

I think that all depends on how much time you can envisage burying into the restoration of the car. However much time you think it'll take - triple it!

It's a very fine line between buying a car worth saving, and one that isn't ! ... Ideally I would try to get one that is running at least you have a chance then.
Problem now is everything on the car is so old... It needs so much money to make reliable
