SOLD - unfinished project VIN #3193

Postby InoX » Mon Jan 12, 2015 8:14 pm

Hello

I'm sorry to report that I'm having to sell 3193 in a half completed state. This car came to me as a wreck and I've restored it 50% to the best of my ability and to the best standard my wallet will allow.
Sadly It's going to have to go because as of the first week in March it will have to where to be stored.

Naturally this is the same old story about starting a project and not finishing it. On the up side most of the expensive work has been completed (see below). It's just(!) a matter of finishing it.

you can follow the early stages of the project here:

The good:

new fasteners associated with the frame.
all the galvanised braketry has been re-plated and look as good as new.
lower front link arms have been boxed in (in case you're wondering)
the heater box (with new matrix and evaporator) has been re-built.
new rivnuts all around (not something you'd think about - but was a major pain in the rear end for me!)
carpet partially installed.

other odds and sods I've had to replace that no-one will care about...

the bad
Needs either the engine i have for it restored and putting back in or a new engine entirely.
front and rear bumpers need striping and re-painting.
needs new seats/or covers
some interior parts need sourcing (including the binnacle) or repairing.
needs window motors
needs fuel tank enclosure plate.
needs upper louvre (have one but it's knackered)

and just all in all needs finishing off......

I'll throw in a second PRV (the EFI 2.9 170bhp vesrion from the mk1 lag) if anyone buys the car.

viewing is advised to take account of all the parts that i have that i haven't listed. :/

looking for £12,000

not for the feint hearted.

need to sell this car with in a month, sadly. The house that it is currently residing at is being sold and i do not have accommodation to carry on with the project.

PM me if you're seriously interested.
thanks for looking.
Dave.

sorry for the double post, but i can't edit the original.

Also I've remembered: the steering rack and drive shafts have been refurbed by a specialist.

Hi
Could you please tell me if both the cars are still for sale?
I have read the description on the project car, and I am very interested in it, could you also send me the details of the other car too as soon as possible
