That's quite a good write up & it looks like it has been started and run regularly, just not driven. Whether that happened at the dealership for 19 odd years is another matter.
Guide is £35k-ish which maybe about right to the right person. Well persons, as an auction needs two nutters!! lol

The first half of the text is a copy and paste from the text used when John Dennys car was sold back in March.

John called the auction house out of curiosity and jokingly asked the question 'can it be driven away?', I'll let you take a wild stab in the dark as to what the answer was.

BHCC has one for sale at the moment with 121 miles, for $47k/GBP30k

Mind you, it's as black as Al's

http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1982 ... c-4179.htm

and also "just came out of storage", so won't run either

Why do people think these low mileage cars are gold mines? If anything they should have big warnings on them saying stay away!

I'd much rather have one with 90k on the clock that has been used regularly than one with just a few k on it. Angle drive has probably broken on them anyway ;)

The black one agreed Mike, but this "original" one really is one of a kind, for a real collector. Not to ever use as a car, just to store and look at - there are plenty of potential buyers, and whilst there are many "mint" cars around, they all tend to have been altered in some way, there is a definite market for a "factory fresh" version. I'm talking about someone geeky, with billions, who has to have a perfect one just to say he's got one. The likes of you and me just need to "look away", there is nothing to see here! It's not a car, it's a collectors item.

Some more pictures courtesy of Tony Ieradi from DMC Florida who almost bought the car until he saw that it had not been stored in a climate controlled environment
