Haha, bloody terrible for the original owner then. He paid US$26k in 81' stored it, never used it, for 19 years, and then sold it for circa US$27 in 2000.
All that space and effort for a real-terms US$10k loss. Second owner did very well though. Guess its all about timing!

Problem with any new car, its value halves the minute you drive from the dealers. So basically the 1st owner payed $26k for a $13k car then sold it for $27k

Sorry guys, but it doubt this D had only 26 miles driven. Judging from the exhaust manifold and the catalyst I say it was defo in the lower thousand in!
Those components seem like the engine got into regular working temperatures and in 26 miles it won't do that. I have done over 300 miles in mine and the manifolds just started to show signs of heat!

Either way good to see that D sold so high! It raises the value bar to all of ours.

The new owner also purchased 9 other cars on the day, he has around 220 cars.

So that narrows it down... It might be the guy who owns JCB

It won't be driven or registered
