I saw this in the Aston Barclay Chelmsford auction catalogue this morning.
Monday nights at Chelmsford Auction are a real "bottom feeder" affair, real tatty bangers from the likes of Car Giant, most of it End of Life. You do have to be truly multi lingual to converse with the other patrons too. Not a trade sale as such, mainly public - British and otherwise.
To put that car in this sale is like trying to sell a Ming vase at a boot sale.
The main sale is Wednesday when the more serious trade buyers are present or online which is I would guess where it will end up, they do sell the odd Aston, Porsche and Bentley amongst the standard fare mainly from the Spire Auto Group who have Audi, BMW and Jag franchises so take the odd premium car in chop, but it is still an odd choice of auction for a D, I can only imagine Nigel is hoping a trader with no prior knowledge of these cars will stick his hand up thinking they are rare and a novelty for a a bit of personal fun, not knowing how many there are for sale at the moment or the prices.
It will be interesting to see how it goes I might take a ride over but I don't know if my "jabs" are up to date.
