Sometimes it is ;)

here is a little tip that might be worth knowing for this and other US-UK purchases:

The US Postal Service (USPS) has a set of fixed price flat rate branded boxes that can be very useful for mailing heavy items. E.g Small, Medium and Large

https://store.usps.com/store/browse/usp ... ernational

For example if you had 10lbs/4.5kg of DeLorean parts in a brown cardboard box, posting by weight at USPS would cost $81.

However, if that same 10lb fitted inside a USPS Flat Rate branded box, that would only cost $60. In fact you can ship up to 20lb max in that box for the same $60.

So in the OPs case, if he could stuff 20lb of motors-only in the Flat Fate box it could be quite economical. The physical size of the assembly will probably preclude that, though.

And why do I use the US Postal Service to mail a letter, whereas you use the Royal Mail to post a letter?

Riki has come back to me for 2 kits.
-15% discount and $127 for US Postal Service Shipping.

Is this a good price?
Works out at around £306 for each kit without the VAT and import duty.

Crikey!

And I thought £250 was expensive.

£200 per motor?!?!

Does your A/C work? If it doesn't, I'd put the money into getting that working, it will do a much better job of cooling you than the crappy door windows, they may as well not be there for all the 'air' they bring in.

My AC doesnt work, what do you reckon it would cost to get the AC working nicely?

You could get lucky and all it needs is a clean out and a re-gas.

Mine doesn't work btw, it needs a new A/C pump. For now, I make do with plugging the vent's to the doors to force maximum airflow out of the centre vents.
