Suppose you and Mrs T. are both in your car on your way out for a nice curry and then a rear tyre goes. Once you've changed the wheel what do you do with it?! :dmcdoors:

Mmm curry

I'd put the rear tyre on the passenger seat so I can drive home and she can wait for a Taxi...............

No seriously, I wouldn't be taking the D out if I was going out with Mrs T but I understand your point.

I'd personally use the RAC but if I was desperate I'd put the rear tyre in the front as best it can go or if I had the bonnet full I'd put the wheel on the engine compartment with the louvres down and drive slow to a safe place to park up so I can use the RAC.

Funny you should say that.

Helping a friend fix a flat a couiple of weeks ago; I opened the boot of her brand new Kia Soul (sold in UK?) to get out the spare, and wondering whether it would be a full size (195/65 R15) or a donut and I was greated with this:

A spare wheel shaped hole with a compact compressor and a can of Dunlop tyre sealant (c/w a sticker for your steering wheel extolling you to stay under 50)

Wrong.

A concerned husband would leave the tyre with her, to give her something to sit on while she waits for the taxi.

If somebody was in the car with me they would get the flat wheel on their lap. Sorted!

I had a couple of PM's or possibly emails on this asking for more details on my setup. Cant find either at the minute for some reason so sorry for the lack of reply.

So here is a photo of my spare wheel:

ehmmm that must be a ROVER 25 and not a ROVER 75 wheel as mentioned earlier in the thread.
Rover 75 have 5 studs

while a rover 25 is a 4X100 stud patern just as the delorean:)
