Rear view mirror wanted

Hi all,

My mirror is in bad shape, took the chance to remove it while the windscreen was out there.

Anybody have a good spare, or know what its out of?

I'm getting closer to a cross-reference on the D's rear-view mirror. A mirror from a '92 XJS is the same Magnatex number (164), has the same patent number, and is identical in size/shape. However, the stalk is different. (Any way to change the stalks?)

I have found the Maganatex brand of mirror on Rovers, MGs, and Porsches as well as the Jag. Has any one ever found a cross-reference on that mirror?

Is there any way of getting them re silvered ? I've got one on my left over box but its fine apart from the bottom of the mirror is a bit brown

If you're not fussed on a direct match then lots of stick-on mirrors will look close enough - e.g.: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230835930420 - or anything Ford/Rover/Porsche etc from that era is either going to be close enough, or probably dead on in some cases.

They are the same as a Ford Mondeo MK1 rear view mirror I believe.
