replacement rear wheel bearing

Postby marwood82 » Sun Jul 28, 2013 5:52 pm

hi,

i need to replace one of my rear wheel bearings asap.

has anyone used the crossreferenced part on here? (QWB213)

http://www.deloreaneurotec.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2217

do they fit ok?

are there any others that people have used that would be available on the high street?
(as i said, i need to get it replaced quickly so would ideally like something i can go to an car parts store and buy)

If i understand correctly, these here then will also fit?
http://www.autopartoo.com/oe/alloelist.aspx?ue=QWB213

thanks

Simon.

Hi Simon - as you know we have them in stock: viewtopic.php?t=2486 - I have PMd you with a link to get them to you by 1pm on Tuesday guaranteed. Can also do "by 9am guaranteed" for about treble the postage price... No idea about the cross references from different manufacturers, but those part numbers should be correct!

If you have one gone, the other will follow, I would do both if you can

thanks for that!

had it looked at this morning, drivers side rear bearing needs replacing and the passengers side one is starting to go.
also, it seems my front discs need changing, so its a good excuse to get all 4 bearings changed

Where are you getting your front discs from? I assume not from the UK?

my local car parts store is ordering them from here. they should get them in the morning

http://catalogue.brake-eng.com/index.ph ... t=DI955013

i picked up the cortina brake pads from halfords that are on the crossover parts list.

what do you guys think, is it really worth changing the front bearings if they arent bad? or am i best to leave them?

Can't see why they won't be ok, only a couple years use
I changed them as they became noisy... Probably after the thrashing it got at the Autotest event!
