Fuel Metering Head

Postby nbegg » Wed Jul 02, 2014 9:32 pm

Good evening

Anyone know anyone selling a metering head, i have spoken to Dave-H but he only has non working ones at present and o spoke to Ken Mills but i am looking at over 400 to get mine refurbed.
Alternatively if i could borrow one to test that it is the metering head at fault my i have the car running on a volvo or lotus one but only on 3 cylinders as the one that came with the car just leaks fuel everywhere. part number 0438100109 my lotus / volvo one is 0438100076 any help appreciated

I dont know anybody selling one, but I will just say that I had mine refurbed by Ken Mills 10 years ago and its never gave any problems. I know its a hefty price but at least you know it will be done right.

Are you not getting fuel to the injectors?

Before NickT says it, pressure test!

I have changed the injectors and i am only getting fuel on 3 injectors all on the right as you look at the engine, I have replaced fuel pump and filter but don't have kit for pressure test but will look on ebay.

Have you swapped the injectors over to see if the issue is with the injectors or the metering head?

I have a couple of metering heads which should be good to go. 1 DeLorean one and 1 Volvo I think, happy for you to borrow one while you trouble shoot.

I'll not be able to get hold of it until Tuesday next week when I'm at my folks house.

can someone confirm the dmc metering head part number so I send the right one?

No deposit, I'm yet to be fleeced by anyone I've met on the Eurotec forum, I'll let you know on postage shouldn't be much

Postage & packing inclusive. I thought these weren't bad prices
