Both on top, in the middle and the bottom of the sylinders. So I guess the engine block is raptured.

So I'm looking for a new engine. Have been looking for an old Volvo in Norway and Sweden, but with no luck. But I'm still looking.
So if anyone knows of an engine somewhere, please let me know.
(and excuse any mistakes in technical explainations, I barely know the Norwegian terms)

Carl, do you mean there was no fluid in it at all, indicating a leak, (which could well be a head-gasket (and no compression)) or that it was just filled with water and not anti-freeze.
I live in GA and temperatures here can get to -10 occasionally too (surprisingly). But remember, anti-freeze is also an engine coolant and as it gets to +40 in the summer here, I would be surprised if the engine had no coolant in it if it was a running car.
Do you mind me asking for the VIN? (10184 perhaps - I recall it was exported to Norway and was a Turbo)
